These photos were taken by Tony Dugal of Kalamazoo. All of them are protected by copyright. Tony Dugal, Scott Arnett, Doug Reeves and Mel Valkner arrived in Washington, D.C. the evening of Sept. 11, 2009 and visited several sites that night. Next morning after very little sleep we joined others from Kalamazoo at our hotel, had a blurry-eyed breakfast and took the crowded subway downtown to Freedom Plaza. Then the massive crowd of loyal Americans proceeded to march down Pennsylvania Avenue to the Capitol Building. All were in good spirits with some of the most creative signs you will ever see. Fortunately Tony, a professional photographer, captured some terrific shots. Enjoy!
